For the kickoff at 7:20 p.m., the temperature will be around 35 degrees, said Kevin Doom, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Chicago. However, wind chills will make that feel colder, with a "real feel" temperature in the mid-20s, he said.
Rain, strong wind gusts, 50-degree readings and a sharp temperature drop were all in the Chicago forecast Thursday, with rain transitioning to snow and "sharply reduced visibility" possible, the National Weather Service said.
Warmer temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-30s Tuesday and mid-40s Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Although a cold front is predicted Thursday night with temperatures back in the low-teens and a chance of wet snow, warmer-than-average weather is expected to return for most of this weekend and last until New Year’s.
